A parking sensor is a device that assists with parking and reversing a car. It works on the principle of sonar – it emits ultrasonic waves which, after reflecting off an obstacle, allow the distance between the car and the obstacle to be determined. When reversing, the device correctly detects obstacles on the road and alerts the driver with an audible signal.
The new sensors are mounted on the inside of the bumper and do not protrude beyond its outline. Thanks to their small size, they look very attractive. The sensors can be painted. It is recommended to apply a maximum of two thin, even coats of paint.
The LED display shows the distance to the obstacle with an accuracy of tenths of a meter. It also has a built-in speaker (buzzer) that warns of the possibility of complete muting with a switch on the cover.
